Hope Initiatives
FAQs
-
Not at all! All who need help are welcome to Gas Street Hope.
There are some Hope Initiatives that have eligibility criteria attached to them. For example, to access the Community Shop you must be within a 1 mile radius of Gas Street St Luke’s and be in receipt in some form of state benefits.
-
During The Community Shop on Thursdays, we often have outside charities or groups come and provide drop-in support, such as the Community Support Worker from Birmingham City Council, housing support from Trident or Citizen, NHS Health and Wellbeing advice etc.
Alternatively, whilst our team are not trained in benefit and housing advice, we are happy to offer appointments to see how we may be able to help you or signpost you to the right places. -
We are a warm space registered both with Warm Welcome and Birmingham City Council.
-
Come in and visit us! A member of staff is usually in the building every day Monday – Thursday and if we can’t help you, we can hopefully find you someone who can.
