FAQs
-
All who need help are welcome.
There are some initiatives with appropriate requirements to access them; for example, the Ladies Salsa class is only for women, membership for The Community Shop is tied to location and receipt of means-tested benefits, Stay and Play is only for those accompanying children, etc.
Most of our initiatives are only available for people living with the B1, B5 and B15 postcodes.

None of our team are trained in benefits or housing advice, however we do know other organisations and people who are. We recommend Karis Neighbour Scheme and their Community Advice.
During The Community Shop, we often have outside charities or groups come and provide drop-in support, such as the Community Support Worker from Birmingham City Council, housing support from Trident or Citizen, NHS Health and Wellbeing advice etc.

We are a warm space registered both with Warm Welcome and Birmingham City Council.

Come in and visit us! A member of staff is usually in the building every day Monday – Thursday and if we can’t help you, we can hopefully find you someone who can.
